As for prices, it varies from piece to piece, depending on what your vision is and what size the final artwork will be in. If you find yourself struggling financially, I will be glad to find a way for us to work this out. (Like monthly rates for example!)

The whole commission process mostly looks something like this:

 

We talk about your vision, I create a sketch and when you´re happy with the whole concept, I start with the original artwork, sending you photo updates every now and then so you can see it come to life. Sometimes I will also film the process and put it on instagram or youtube.

 

If you want me to draw your pet/fur baby, please make sure to have some high quality photos ready. Please make sure they aren´t blurry, have “red devil eyes” or only show the animal as a small fraction of the photo. I require at least one portrait shot to get a grip of what your sweetheart looks like up close. The more you love the photos, the more you´ll love the outcome.

 

As far as Spirit Animal work is concerned, you may already know who your companion is and we can start carving out your vision. If you need support with retrieving your friend or if you want me to do it for you, I´ll gladly help you out! I can guide you through the process of discovery or I´ll take the journey for you. When the artwork is done, it will require payment before it gets shipped out. Originals automatically require tracked shipping (15€), because I want to keep an eye on those precious diamonds. None of my babies shall get lost! (Big artist mama bear talking!)

Thank you so much for your interest! I am working on it as we speak and I hope I can get it done through autumn and winter 2017, but alas, the Spirit Animals have their own will and temper. And I am not rushing them, there´s enough hurry in this world already. Good things take their time.

Items that have not been paid over the course of 3 days will be relisted.

I ship orders out every Thursday or Friday. Everything in Europe usually takes around 3 days. International mail varies in shipping time. Mail usually arrives after 2-5 business days in the U.S., Canada can take up to 20 business days to arrive. Weird, right? So it´s not a question of distance, but of customs. I´ll add more estimations to this section, the more statistics I get over time. 🙂

Shipping costs pay for the actual shipping cost, but also for the packaging and the time I spend designing, wrapping and bringing my babies to the post office.

 

I wrap my items in clear sheet protectors, so you can re-use the packaging material. Yay nature!

 

While I ship internationally, I am not responsible for local taxes, customs duty, processing and import fees. (Haven´t had anything of this happen yet, but who knows…)

It hasn´t happened yet, but if your order should have gotten lost in the mail or damaged in any way, I will be happy to send you a replacement.
Mostly it´s customs that keeps your mail from arriving on time. (Which again has rarely happened and since I have most of my customers on facebook or instagram, I keep checking in with you to see if your baby has already arrived. I am just as nervously excited as you are!)

 

If you accidentally ordered the wrong item, please send me a note to office@vanillerygarden.com within 30 minutes of placing your order, so I can exchange the item for you. Once it is packed, I cannot exchange the item.

 

I hope you understand that I cannot offer any refunds for commissions. These artworks are highly personal and I work closely with all of my customers, sending them updates through all the stages and making sure I meet their expectations and needs. Again *knock on wood* I have not experienced any problems here yet.
